Political Attitude Of Hugo Lederer's Master-Students
Time and again, we concentrated on Hugo Lederer's importance to the art of National Socialism (NS), although from the beginning we doubted his leadership. A letter from Emy Roeder led us to examine his effect on his master students. She wrote to my grandfather Karl Lederer in a letter dated July 28, 1963: "... Kindly Prof. Lederer has always made every effort to ensure that all his master students receive enough money for models and castings from the Academy... .". The number of students we know so far is certainly far below the actual number. Without exception, they are derived from the respective CV of the students. We will continue our research. But even this selection shows the justification of our doubts!
